SERVING THOSE WHO PROUDLY SERVE US!
June 8th was an incredible Day of Gratitude at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas!
15,000 veterans and military members registered to attend a day filled with honor, joy and community. It was the largest event of its kind in Nevada’s history!
We were able to have 42 booths of support services and distribute approximately $2 million of goods-in-kind such as shoes, toys and household items – and another $1 million of goods-in-kind will be distributed to veterans and military families who couldn’t attend.
Thank you to the Las Vegas Raiders, Allegiant Stadium, sponsors, support service vendors & volunteers who made this spectacular day possible!

Meet & Greet with NFL Raiders
“This event was by far the best military appreciation or Day of Gratitude that I have ever been apart of. I hope these type of events spread across the nation and will become the norm.”
Hello!
“The tears were flowing down my cheeks.”
So says Marine Master Sgt. Dan Kamanao, a battle-hardened combat veteran and Voice of the Veteran medal recipient who served four tours of duty in Vietnam. That’s how much Day of Gratitude meant to him.
Countless others felt the same way. I know this because as we prepared for Day of Gratitude, several veterans shared with me that they had felt ashamed to tell others of their service in Vietnam.
In fact, one officer named Richard said, “On our flight home from Vietnam we were instructed to change out of our uniforms into civilian clothes because we would not be accepted.”
That sad history is what prompted me on Day of Gratitude to make a promise to Dan, Richard, and all the veterans and military personnel, as well as their families.
“We cannot change the way you have been treated in the past,” I proclaimed. “But we can change the way you are treated in the future – starting today.”
That crowd gave the Vietnam Vets a thunderous standing ovation. It was incredible, and based on the feedback we’ve received since, that grateful response literally meant the world to them!
The deep, healing power of gratitude so many experienced at Allegiant Stadium on June 8 was just incredible.
And it was all made possible by our generous partners and donors!
For as grateful as we are for our selfless heroes in uniform, we are also profoundly grateful for your generosity! Thanks again.
May we always honor and remember the brave men and women fighting to keep us free, and may God bless the United States of America!
