Scripture’s Compassion Template

Our compassion initiatives empower churches to step into broken communities with purpose and love, echoing God’s design for His Church to be an instrument of renewal, restoration, and hope.

The Hungry

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,” Matthew 25:35

 

To feed those who are food insecure.

The Vulnerable

“The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.” Psalm 9:9

 

To champion and care for those who are vulnerable, including special needs families, the infirmed, those with mental health challenges, at risk youth, pregnant women & the unborn.

The Orphan

“ . . .look after orphans and widows in their distress . ..”  James 1:27

 

To advocate for children and youth in foster care and champion Christ-centered families to foster and adopt.

The Prisoner

“. . . I was in prison and you came to visit me. . . ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25:36, 40 

 

To engage and serve individuals currently or formerly incarcerated..

The Exploited

“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.” Proverbs 31:8

 

To speak up and ensure justice for victims of human trafficking.

The Widow

“A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling.” Psalm 68:5

 

To walk alongside women and men who grieve the loss of their spouse.

The Poor

“Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.” Proverbs 19:17

 

To serve those in need and break the cycle of poverty.

The Unreached

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19

 

To carry the Good News of Jesus to every nation, tribe, and people—reaching those who have never heard.

The Addicted

“…He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners.” Isaiah 61:1

 

To help individuals battling alcohol and drug addiction on a journey to sobriety.

Israel

“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Genesis 12:3

 

To build meaningful relationships with the Jewish community at home and abroad, stand with Israel’s right to exist in the land God gave them, and align with God’s promise to bless those who bless Israel.
