Empowering the local church

CityServe International envisions a world where the local church is the center of community and driving catalyst for restorative relationships with those in need.

Isaiah 58: 10-12

“And if you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday. The Lord will guide you always; he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land and will strengthen your frame. You will be like a well-watered garden, like a spring whose waters never fail. Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins and will raise up the age-old foundations; you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls, Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”

Unleashing the Power of the Church

Many community-based organizations and nonprofits are doing vital work to meet immediate needs, yet deeper issues often remain unresolved without true healing. Meanwhile, countless churches long to be a powerful force for restoration in their communities but feel under-resourced, overwhelmed,
and unsure where to start.

CityServe’s collaborative network equips churches for a lasting impact.

Filling Tangible Needs

We source overstock and new condition returns from major U.S. retailers. Our goods-in-kind (GIK) supply chain sorts and distributes items to local church PODs (points of distribution) through our warehouse distribution centers (HUBs). PODs make regular GIK pick ups at their designated HUB, to distribute to people and families who are disadvantaged and need help.

Launch Initiatives

We help the local church discover new ways to reach those who are hurting in their neighborhoods and around the world. The CityServe 10 Compassion Initiatives helps churches launch prorgrams to engage in God’s compassion template from scripture.

Building Capacity

Reaching more people in your community requires a growing team, additional resources and a more effective strategy to meet people where they are. Our collaborative network helps churches scale up for greater impact with the National Grant Center—securing state and federal grants to fund programs within the Compassion Initaitives.
