LAS VEGAS – An all-star lineup of sports-entertainment leaders, non-profit organizations, and local churches are teaming up on Saturday, June 8 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for a “Day of Gratitude,” a special event to honor America’s veterans, all members of the armed forces, and military families. This is expected to be the largest event of its kind honoring veterans in Nevada’s history.

CityServe International, Voice of the Veteran, and ChurchLV are the primary sponsors and facilitators of “Day of Gratitude.” Award-winning musical artist Danny Gokey will be performing, alongside other musical talent throughout the day.

“Amidst wars and rumors of war, it’s time to salute and celebrate the brave men and women who’ve put it all on the line to protect the free world,” said CityServe co-founder and CEO Dave Donaldson. “Without the help of Mark Davis, President Sandra Morgan and the Raiders organization we wouldn’t be able to make this happen to show honor and respect to our service men, women and their families. We are thankful for their support.”

“I am honored to work with my friend, Voice of the Veteran Chairman Peter Palivos, and CityServe to honor our military and veteran heroes for their service to our country,” remarked Las Vegas Raiders captain and linebacker Robert Spillane. “I play football because of the freedoms I enjoy because of sacrifices made by our veterans and military.”

The Day of Gratitude’s FREE entertainment, resources, and gifts for veterans, active duty service members and their families include:

  • Up to $3 million in compassion gifts, such as apparel and household items
  • An on-field event promenade including climbing walls, sports drills, and bounce houses
  • A chance to meet & greet current and past NFL legends
  • Live music from top artists
  • A patriotic welcome program by celebrity VIPs
  • A dedicated “Kid’s Zone” for young children
  • Over 20 booths offering a wide range of vital veteran support services

“Voice of the Veteran is honored to participate in this historic event dedicated to honoring our Nation’s Heroes,” said U.S. Air Force Veteran and Voice of the Veteran president and founder Bob Maxwell. “Day of Gratitude is about honoring their legacy, but it will also amplify the tribute to their unparalleled sacrifices as we collectively pay homage to the true guardians of our freedom.”

“We are grateful to the entire Raiders organization for allowing us to utilize the Allegiant Stadium for this historic event,” added Voice of the Veteran Chairman Peter Palivos. “It’s a humbling honor to show appreciation to the Veterans and Military heroes, who serve our country and make enormous sacrifices for our peaceful way of life.”

Veterans, service members and their families looking to take part in this celebration, will need to register for free ahead of time via veteran and military organizations. Only confirmed guests will be permitted to enter the stadium.

The Day of Gratitude is already endorsed by over 20 veteran organizations. Learn more at www.dayofgratitudelv.com. Those interested in covering this historic event at the Raider’s stadium can reach out to press@jdaworldwide.com.
