April 9, 2024

LAS VEGAS – CityServe International, Voice of the Veteran, and ChurchLV have just unveiled more award-winning talent to join the entertainment lineup for Day of Gratitude, a special event coming June 8 to honor and celebrate Veterans, members of the Armed Forces, and their families at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

The lineup of performances will include country music artist Walker Hayes, whose 2021 chart-topping hit “Fancy Like” topped every country music sales and streaming chart and spent over six months at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart. He’ll be joined by Grammy nominated and American Idol finalist Danny Gokey and the local Las Vegas sensations Garry and Janine Carson. The Carsons have performed their magic act in over 8,000 shows at the MGM Grand. Our military heroes will experience all three acts first-hand at Allegiant Stadium, the site of Super Bowl LVIII.

Some 15,000 veterans, family members, and active-duty personnel are expected to attend Day of Gratitude. They’ll enjoy a fighter jet flyover, a meet-and-greet with Raiders stars, a family friendly kids zone, and up to $3 million worth of compassion-gift giveaways such as apparel and household essentials.

“We are honored to have country music star Walker Hayes join us in concert as we salute and celebrate the dedicated men and women who’ve put it all on the line to protect the free world,” said CityServe co-founder and CEO Dave Donaldson. “Our world-class entertainment lineup and support from the great Raiders organization demonstrates our resounding desire to celebrate and honor our brave service men, women and their families.”

“This will be the biggest event of its kind to honor veterans in Nevada’s history,” said ChurchLV Lead Pastor Benny Perez. “We’re mobilizing Las Vegas and beyond to help bless and encourage these heroic men and women. They have dedicated their lives to defending our freedoms, and we need to show them our genuine, heartfelt gratitude.”

“By contributing their time and talents to ‘Day of Gratitude,’ these amazing artists are truly taking this historic event to the next level,” added Voice of the Veteran Chairman Peter Palivos. “We are so thankful to our dedicated partners and supporters for helping us demonstrate our profound appreciation for our veterans and military heroes.”

With Day of Gratitude tickets expected to be in high demand, allocations are being distributed to personnel and families from Nellis AFB, Creech AFB, Fallon Air Naval Station, the Nevada National Guard, reserve units across Nevada, and various veteran organizations.

The first-come, first-serve basis for ticket distribution underscores the event’s expected
popularity.
